The Panola County Sheriff's Department Road Patrol consists of 28 officers: 20 full time deputies and 8 part time deputies. Deputies also work a 12 hour shift and each full time deputy has attended over 800 hours of training. Each Deputy is trained in every area of law enforcement.
The Uniformed Road Patrol Division serves as the primary first responders to calls for service to more than 38,000 residents who lives in Panola county. The coverage area of Panola county is approximately 744 square miles. Panola County Deputies also assist the Batesville, Como, Courtland, Crenshaw, Crowder, Pope, and Sardis police departments upon request.
