Sheriff Otis Griffin has been embloyed with the Panola County Sheriff's Department since January 1996. He started as a control board operator and worked in that capacity for two years. He was promoted to road deputy in February 1998 and served in that capacity for six and a half years until he was promoted to the position of Chief Deputy in November 2005. In October 2009, he was appointed Sheriff of Panola County.
